SANTA MONICA PIER
LOADING AND UNLOADING RULES
ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE DELIVERED BETWEEN 8 AM TO 10 AM OR YOU MUST USE LOWER LOT. - The weight limit on the Newcomb Pier is 6,000 lbs. Newcomb Pier includes the Pier parking lot and all the wooden deck areas.
- The weight limit on the Municipal Pier is 20,000 lbs. Municipal Pier includes the asphalt portion of the Pier with the exception of the area between Blazing Saddles and Surfview Café, which is 6,000 lbs.
- The weight limit applies to the gross weight. Vehicle plus the cargo it is carrying.
- Vehicles over 6,000 lbs. may not drive on the Pier Parking lot. This includes the following makes and models:
Dodge: 2500 & 3500 series
Ford: F250 & F-350 series
General Motors: 2500 & 3500 series
- Vehicles over 6,000 lbs. And under 20,000 lbs. May park on the asphalt portion between Blazing Saddles and Pacific Park to unload and load between the hours of 5 am and 10 am. Exception of this rule must be made by PRC Staff, Harbor Patrol or Police Dept.
- Vehicles over 20,000 lbs. May park in the 1550 PCH parking lot (lot adjacent to the northside of the Pier) to load and unload cargo. A ramp is located off of the boardwalk on the southside of the Carousel Building.
- Vehicles using the 1550 PCH parking lot to load and unload cargo are allowed to do so at anytime of the day.
- Vehicles not actively loading or unloading may not remain parked on the Municipal Pier.
- If at anytime crewmember activities endanger public safety, the Pier structure or buildings, activities will be halted until they are able to proceed in safe manner.
